CrossFit Stuff

1013018_392520527520746_2121630102_nMy husband and I own Rocket CrossFit in Seattle, Washington. We started Rocket as a way to create strong communities around empowered people. We set out to create our own little universe, aiming to be the most inclusive, shame-free, accepting, inspiring and empowering place on the planet. The kind of fantasy land we would live in if we could. And we do. Because we did that.

We didn’t do it alone. We did it with hundreds of people from every walk of life. All ages, shapes, sizes, colors, religions, orientations and fitness levels. Working together, encouraging each other, changing their lives and the lives of others.

It’s a sweaty utopia. Just how we like it.

All that shit you’ve heard about CrossFit? It might all be true somewhere else, but we’re not having any of that crap. We believe in the power of fitness to change lives, hearts, minds and communities.

You can read about what I think about all of it here.

And you can count on me to continue to advocate for body-positive, empowered, and safe fitness. Life is about DOING things. And we’re stronger when we’re in it together.

So funny! I am the queen of the black t-shirt, even when it’s a dress! I got it at the Marshalls in West Seattle. The brand is “Soprano.” They had a whole rack of them yesterday. I love it too!

I have gained so much weight over the last 2 years it’s depressing. The way people shame you into feeling horrible about yourself is even more depressing. I can’t even make myself exercise anymore.

Wanna talk about it? Comment away, I'm paying attention.
